big news & big changes…brianne brose | san diego newborn studio photographer

Oh my goodness…where do I even begin?! This is pretty much something I have dreamed of since I started my photography business over 5 years ago. The last year brought about a lot of changes in my life, including the end of my 8 year career with a large corporation. This meant I was FINALLY able to pursue my true passion full time, my photography business. My business really flourished with the new welcomed changes and my desire to create a Brianne Brose Photography studio location intensified. I believe everything happens for a reason and I was contacted by an amazing local wedding make up artist looking to share a space in the wonderful community of Bird Rock in La Jolla. After meeting her and seeing what a gorgeous studio and location it was, I jumped at the opportunity and have since moved all my gear and props into the space. I am so excited for the future of my business and look forward to the growth having this studio will allow.

With these new changes, I have also updated my session fee pricing a bit, which is reflected on my website and pricing guide, and is as follows:

In Studio Newborn Session $200
In Home Newborn Session $250

I will also be offering in studio maternity & baby sessions as well…

With that said…here is a cheesy iphone picture of my new studio space (the remainder of the space is gorgeous and decorated to perfection as well). I am still in the process of decorating, adding images of some of the gorgeous babies I have photographed over the years and I am most excited about getting my very own business sign put up on the building.

I was so excited to check out all the gorgeous natural light that fills the space so I took my daughter in the studio yesterday to snap a few images of her. I am beyond THRILLED with the results and can’t wait to photograph lots of newborns and babies in this space! I feel so blessed with this opportunity and am truly refreshed with new passion for my job. Check out my cutie in the new studio!

I seriously had the best time photographing this sweet baby girl. She slept SO good for me and was an absolute doll. I also realized what a very small world it is that day. Baby Claire’s mommy and I are from the same home town and we had a blast chatting about our favorite places to eat back home (food is a favorite topic of mine, I must confess). I hope I am lucky enough to be able to capture more images of baby Claire of as she grows!

Oh my goodness…shame on me. I am SO far behind on blogging and have been meaning to share this session for far too long. I confess to thinking this sweet girl may be one of the most beautiful baby girls I have ever seen, she is seriously so perfect! She has the most beautiful skin, the biggest innocent eyes and just overall the sweetest way about her. I totally loved every moment of this session and getting to know her family was equally enjoyable. Thank you to baby Liliane and her family for spending the day with me, I am lucky to have been your photographer!

MCP Newborn Necessities Photoshop Actions…brianne brose | san diego newborn photographer

I am suuuuuuuper lucky because I recently received an email from Jodi of MCP Actions asking if I would be willing to be a “try out” her new action set “MCP Newborn Necessities”. UM, need you even ask?! I obviously am totally honored and am always looking for a way to speed up my work flow and make my life a little bit easier. I immediately grabbed an image that had taken me quite a bit of time in the past to get the color right and used the new set she so kindly sent over. Oh my gosh, it was a piece of cake! I literally did nothing to this image but open it in Photoshop, touch up the skin and run the few actions from her set noted below. I adjusted the opacity until they fit my liking and flattened. DONE. Just like that. I didn’t adjust the color beyond that, I didn’t make any massive fixes and the BEST part…it still looks like MY work. It doesn’t look like I ran someone else’s actions on my work. It looks like I managed to make this action set represent Brianne Brose Photography and that is very difficult to do with actions. I am sure you all know that! Once you find your style, it is nearly impossible to use actions unless you created them yourself. Huge kudos to Jodi at MCP for creating an action set that is so versatile, so beautiful and so easy to use. I hope you all love them as much as I do!

So happy I finally have the opportunity to sit down and blog this session…because oh my goodness, he sure is a cutie! I was so excited when I arrived for my newborn session and saw they had the most gorgeous light filling their living room area. They had an amazingly gorgeous balcony with huge floor to ceiling to windows that just allowed the light to flood in and provide me with the most perfect space to work with. It just so happened that they had also just put their home on the market and we had an open house going on during our session! No joke, we had people walking in and out of the area we were working in, trying to view their home but instead, couldn’t help but stare at sweet baby Thomas. They sold their house in 3 days and I can’t help but believe that his adorableness was the selling point! He was the best little guy for me, a total dream work with. Thank you to the family for being so great that day! I can’t wait to see you guys again!
