I adore photographing children of all ages but there is something amazing about a 6 month old (around that age in general). They are able to sit up, still manage to give you a little eye contact, they are super smiley and most importantly…they can’t run away!!! Yesterday I had a crazy time taking pictures of little Mia, with both my own kids in tow, it made for quite the crazy scene. I had Marlowe in my Ergo and Olivia wanting to pretend to be Mia’s sister so that she could be in the “family” pics. Oh lordy, I had my hands full. But in the end, of course, it all worked out and I was able to capture some gorgeous shots!

What are the chances that I would be stuck with TWO children that hate my camera. Marlowe was completely at peace, snoozing away until the moment I picked up my camera. Then the screaming started and my chances of any pictures went completely out the window. I had her all cute with a big flower headband and in her most beautiful naked self…but she wasn’t having it. So swaddled up she went with her binky in her mouth…and this is all I got. This doesn’t make me a happy mama at all.

In case you weren’t aware, I am super obsessed with cloth diapers and on the hunt for the best fit for my baby girl…I recently decided to try a snappiable fitted diaper from a lovely WAHM on diaperswappers.com and I just received it yesterday! It is adorable…don’t you just love the grey hello kitty fabric?! I wasn’t sure about the snappiable option over snaps themselves but I was told it gives you a better fit around the legs to prevent leaks and she was right! I got a great tight fit around her tiny thighs and it was super easy to just use the snappi to hold it in place. I love her new diaper and can’t wait to get more!

Ok, so I had yet to take a picture of the 2 of them together and this wasn’t quite how I imagined it, LOL. It is raining out and really dark but I stupidly decided I would try to get a quick shot anyway since they were both sitting on my bed while I change Marlowe’s diaper. I had to shoot at ISO 1600 and it was still dark, boooooo. I am sure this will only get tougher as Marlowe gets older!

But it is my girls nonetheless and I love it anyway.
